Greengrass Old Rogue Ale is a 4.50% Belgian Golden Strong Ale brewed in
by Daleside Brewery.
A stronger than average brown ale with a beautiful honey colour. A complex flavor with four hop varieties used in the brew. A sweet bouquet - with a hint of hops and lightly roasted malt. A roguishly toothsome ale. Greengrass Old Rogue Ale is named after the loveable rogue of Yorkshire TV's ‘Heartbeat’. Greengrass was played by the character actor Bill Maynard in the TV series. Although it sounds like a traditional English name Greengrass actually has its roots in France where variants include: Gingras, Gingrais, Gingraix, Gaingras, Gaingrais, Gaingrais, Gêngras and others. In France the name originates from Poitou, a part of Aquitane.

Pretty nice, quite citrusy and hoppy, quite a creamy texture. The hop bite on the finish is not bad at all.
