Diacetyl:
A natural byproduct of yeast which can taste like butter or butterscotch. Depending on the style of beer some brewers aim to have small amounts of detectable Diacetyl, whilst others frown upon it and take steps to avoid it as much as possible.
Australian Red Ale
Australian Red Ales, like their overseas counterparts tend to focus on the malts, however the hop character can range from low to high. Expect a reasonably balanced beer, with toasted malt characters and a light fruitiness.
