Wheat, Pale, Munich and Crystal combine to make Charlotte full bodied and her fruity aroma, with a mild bitterness, is thanks to a mix of Willamette and Cascade hops. Taste the cloves, banana and vanilla which come from our specialty yeast used and youll find Charlotte a refreshing beer with a clean crisp taste, perfect in summer or after a hard day on the slopes.
Named after the pioneering female Charlotte Adams who was the first female to climb Mt Koscuiszko in 1881.

Best Hefeweizen I've tried in Australia. You can really taste the banana and vanilla tones. It's the only beer my wife will drink and she really hates beer |

The equal of any great Bavarian. Charlotte is a cheeky little drop that shares the characteristics of all great wheat beers. But unlike her imported cousins, Charlotte has the distinct advantage of being both fresh without being tarty, and mature without being an old hag. Wheat beers have a very narrow window for optimum consumption, and imports usually have had that window shut, locked, and the blinds drawn by the time we get to enjoy them. Charlotte is as close as you get to what its like to drink a wheat beer in Bavaria. The best time to enjoy Charlotte would be from the moment you finish your last mouthful of breakfast until you turn out the light at night. She is also the perfect partner to almost any dish. Charlotte isn't the World's greatest wheat beer, but she's the best Australian Wheat Beer I've tasted. Having said that, it would be hard to beat drinking an Andechs in the shadow of the monastery on a barmy Summer afternoon, but Charlotte on the verandah of Crackenback Cottage while playing Jenga in the sunshine would come a close second. Four and a half stars. |

| My only other Hefeweizen I ever drank was Widmer, so I compared this to that experience. First off, I didn't use any citrus wedge as is the custom in the states, and its something I hate. I tipped the bottle upside down to let the sediments disperse before opening. This brew filled the air with a refreshing grain and hops aroma upon opening, and again upon pouring. The head seemed small, and its appearance was a cloudy gold. First taste was bitter, and every sip thereafter went down smoother. It was gone leaving me wanting more! | ||||
