Common Beer Terms
Bottle Conditioning:
Bottle conditioning is a secondary (or tertiary) fermentation process which occurs when yeast and sugars are added directly to the bottle during the bottling phase. This assists the beer with a slightly higher alcohol content, but more importantly a longer shelf life without the need for preservatives.

Bavarian Pilsener is a crisp, dry and bitter beer with a pale straw colour and creamy white head. First brewed in Pilzen in Czech Republic in the mid 19th century, it was the first beer of its kind to display a brilliant golden clarity, setting it apart from the dark, cloudy beers predominant at the time.
Redoak's Bavarian Pilsener is based upon the Bavarian interpretation of the original. It incorporates only the finest malted barley, Noble Hallertau hops and a genuine Bavarian lager yeast to produce an authentic tribute to this world renowned beer.

| Incredibly crisp and clean pilsner hand brewed and bottled by Redoak. " Like drinking pure oxygen". Sadly not readily available in bottles any more ( a very curious decision in my humble opinion ) but luckily for those in Sydney available at the cafe on tap. | ||||
