With distinct warming properties, Monteith's Winter Ale has been brewed especially for the colder months of winter. Exhibiting a deep red fiery hue Monteith's Winter Ale is made from a combination of five premium malts, with hints of spicy cinnamon, resulting in a rich, bold, malty flavour and velvety smoothness. The cinnamon characters are the perfect balance for the Green Bullet, Super Alpha and Pacific Hallertau hops developing a delicious, spicy, floral aroma. When poured, a creamy collar of foam will form. Monteith's Winter Ale is best served at slightly warmer temperature to enhance the aroma and flavour characteristics of the brew. 8-10 degrees is recommended.

| “Monteith’s Warming Cinnamon-Spiced Winter Ale” - Disappointing. A kind of “nothing” aroma to start – quite a let-down when you expect some reasonable smell straight after cracking it. Nothing special nor really distinctive in the taste right throughout and comes through with an aftertaste with a bit of bite but unfortunately a somewhat distasteful aspect. Didn’t realize it was a 6.0% alcohol beer – good to see. Marketed in a 330mL size stubby – 1 point off for that alone (instead of the good 375mL size). The look of the bottle and labelling does look kinda cool in some ways. I would like to try this again sometime to be more sure that there isn’t more to it, but honestly I’ll probably never drink it again. | ||||
