A cloudy, goldenorange beer with a moderately dense white head displaying a mixed combination of banana, fruit, bubblegum, spice and zesty aromas and flavours, all created, in true Bavarian wheat beer style, by the use of a unique yeast strain that brings out the true character of the wheat malt used in the brew.

A refreshing summer day drink, or a beautiful accompaniment to fish and shellfish dishes.

No the aroma score is not an error, it should read zero. Now before I proceed, let me talk about this first.

When I poured this Wheat there was a huge rush of foam that was produced in my glass (proper Wheat glass) and along with a spectacular array of bubbles it produced around a 1/2 (half) inch thick creamy head. It looked a little over the top, but the creaminess of the head was very inviting.

I thought perhaps this head was blocking the aroma and preventing it from escaping - does happen. But nope, even as I continued drinking this beer from start to finish I was never lucky enough to detect anything at all. No I didn't have the flu, or anything like that - I just couldn't smell anything other than a minor 'generic beer' smell.

As I've touched on the head and bubbles already you'll understand why this beer can grab your attention when in a glass - it looks fantastic and very appealing.

On to the taste, they say a Wheat should be drunk young. This one was about 4 months away from its Best Before date (might explain the aroma?) although reviewed within a week of purchase. The flavour was intensely strong, and the yeast had definately worked overtime to produce that typical Hefe flavour with a great combination of spices mixed with the Wheat malt.

Overall an excellent flavoured beer, one which I definately want to drink many times over again - although next time I hope I get to enjoy the aroma as much as the flavour.
