Leffe Radieuse combines a very complex taste pallet and the fruity flavors of banana, citrus fruit, coriander and cloves, with a mild sharpness. It is a beer to drink instead of complex wines, with sophisticated and complex cuisines.

I've had a lot of Belgian beers, and Leffe Radieuse has to be near the top if you ask me. Sublime colour, thick head and full flavour of fruits and malt. I know the Belgians get all hot under the collar when classifying beers as Trappiste (made by genuine monks in their abbeys) and Abbey beers made in the style of said monks, but not actually by fat men in robes under a vow of silence. That said, any monk would have to be proud if they produced Radieuse. You probably wouldn't have too many in one sitting for palate overload (and getting pretty darn pissed at 8.5%) but perfect for a cold winter's night watching the rugby on TV. |

| Very full bodied beer. Poured well and has slight dark fruity aromas. Nice dark colour and was appealing to the eye. Very strong body and flavour, and was a little too strong for the meal I was eating at the time. The flavour was nice, however there was an aftertaste which I didn't enjoy that much. I'm not sure if it was the combination of the meal and this beer, but the aftertaste put me off and somewhat reminded me of a sour aftertaste. If you enjoy a heavy full flavoured dark fruity beer, you'll enjoy this but it wasn't really my cup of tea. | ||||
