Poured heavy on the carbonation, making for a thick, foamy white head that lingered. Its pale yellow colour looked like your typical lager, but the taste was anything but. If the big boys could make their VB or Tooheys New taste like this, they wouldn't get such a bad rap, but it takes care to make good beer, and the folks at Holgate have this down. The only real downside was its carbonation, making it great for use at a belching contest. Still, I like it, and would like to try it on tap someday.
