Bluebottle Beer is the culmination of a search from coast to coast for only the finest ingredients; creating a delicate balance of gentle yet mouth watering bitterness, lifted aromatics and a touch of citrus from fresh lemon juice to enhance the flavours of the sea. And while it's designed to complement seafood, it's a cracker of a drink at any time.

Ah, the usual pizza and beer on a Friday night? No not tonight, its time for the revolution. Seafood and beer! A strong sweet fruity/citrus aroma was let loose by the numerous bubbles when I poured Bluebottle and was very noticable even when not right over the glass. A pale coloured beer and I thought it would be a bit darker but don't let this fool you into thinking it is a weak, flavourless beer. A very flavoursome, crisp fruity beer that does indeed match perfectly with seafood. It must be the citrus flavours that allow it to match up or perhaps the slight bitter aftertaste? I'm not sure but it certainly works. This beer scores a perfect 5/5 for technicality and experience as it does exactly what it is advertised as - A perfect match with Seafood. Keep an eye out for it, it is well worth trying, I'll review it again shortly without seafood to see how it fares, but I'm confident it will still score high. |
