Common Beer Terms

Dry Hopping:
Dry Hopping is the addition of dry hops during the first or secondary fermentation which will add a different hop flavour profile compared with using hops in the boil. Dry hopping does not affect bitterness only flavour as it is the process of boiling that releases the bitterness from hops.

I heard about this beer for quite some time. To see it in fine wine emporium, got me curious. I am fan of Pilseners, it works quite well with Queensland heat, and having visted Pilzn some years back, the defintive taste and style is no compromise. Emersons has a reputation especially in New Zealand as small batch brewer operating from his Pub/ resturaunt in Dunedien.

In short this beer is is one of very best I tasted. It departs from the usual Saaz hop taste by the inclusion of savauginon hops, and that what creates its flavour, mouthfeeel ,ans drinkabilty. This beer is so different, so drinkable. The smell is great, floral, and the first tast on the tongue reflects that, then a mild fuity tones kick in with lingering pilsener bitterness. Ther are lot of complex tastes going on with the malts, spices, and fruity undertones. In short you want more, the problem is on this side of the ditch, it is expensive, but you are drinking one of the very best pilseners outside the Czech Republic.

In the end, I thought 'hell with cost, and went back, and bought six more bottles.
