Found this on tap at the Pig-n-Whistle on Queen street in Brisbane. A very drinkable Irish ale. it seemed familiar to me, and its because its sold as Smithwicks in the states. Aroma isn't much, but the taste more than makes up for it. Besides, I'm all for the drinking of beer, not whiffing it. It was a deep red-brown in the glass, and had a good full head induced by the nitrogen. This beer is meant to be drank on tap, as is Guinness. I'm not a fan of the nitro widget in a can as it just isn't the same. |

| Pretty smooth Irish beer. Found it pleasant right from the aroma and pretty much throughout, with a classic Irish beer flavour you would expect. I’m glad this is fairly widely available in Australia, as it is a good choice for something different every now and then. The labelling is nice, though a point off for the smaller (than 375mL) 330mL volume can it is marketed in. I will drink more of this in future. | ||||
