Guaranteed to turn heads, this is the beer that inspired a new generation of ale drinkers. With its fruity character, and robust flavour, Coopers Pale Ale is perfect for every occasion.

Naturally fermented in the 'Burton-on-Trent' style, a secondary fermentation creates the trademark sediment that gives 'Pale' its fine cloudy appearance. This cloudy residue can be stirred through the beer by tipping or rolling the bottle before drinking.

Pale Ale has no additives or preservatives.

My local pub has this as their beer of the month at the moment so I though 'why not - this is alright out of the bottle.' Well I was let down a little in comparison. There was little to no aroma and despite it being well carbonated there was practically no head.

Flavour wise it was very similar to the bottled version a sweet fruity flavour, but had a nice balanced bitterness to it. Although in comparison the bottled version on tap it seemed to lack the complexity and kick that the bottled version does. It is possible that it was the pubs fault due to a bad keg/lines/tapping but I'm not sure.

Overall the experience was pretty good, it is still better than most macro-beers and it was only $3 a schooner due to the special offer so given the other offerings, I had no problems in drinking 2,3 or 4 of them.

Dissapointing on tap, as the bottled stubby version of this beer is pretty good. There were a fair few people drinking it during our visit, so the keg was flowing well. A bit of a harsh aftertaste, and not as smooth as the bottled version. Good to see on tap regardless.

An ok beer. Certainly indicative of the quality brewing capable from the Coopers Brewery in an underlying solid taste. Nothing special though - a kind of soft/weaker choice for mine. One of the 2 most stocked/high profile Cooper's beers (this is the green label one) I would almost always choose the other over this - the red label (Sparkling Ale) has so much more depth, strength, and "cult status" (unless this green label was a good 25%-50%+ cheaper, perhaps.) Still not a bad drop.
