The ale by which all others should be measured. With its famous cloudy sediment and its distinctive balance of malt, hops and fruity characters, the old 'Red Label' is a tasty slice of Coopers history.
Little has changed since Thomas Cooper produced his first batch of Coopers Sparkling Ale in 1862. It's still brewed naturally using the century old top fermentation method and it still tastes great!
Sparkling Ale contains no additives or preservatives.

Like the spiel says, this is my benchmark beer. I always seem to return to the fine flavour and sheer enjoyment of this beer after trying all sorts of different tipples. If you are confused re. which beer to grab, you can't really go wrong with a Coopers Sparkling Ale. On the higher end of the price list, but I'd rather pay a little more for the flavour. If you think price is more important than taste, just buy a cheap goonbag. If you want a thouroughly enjoyable beer, look no further. |

A Great beer. When I get sick of standard mass production beers like VB, Crown etc, you can always come home to coopers Sparkling Ale. Great flavour, full bodied beer. Always a high standard, reliable .. one of Australias best! |

| This has to be among the very best commercial Aussie beers available, a top ale. Full-bodied, lively all the way through. Strong too ... so if you're after a session beer, better to go with it's little brother, the green-label Pale Ale (a good beer in its own right). But for a strong, full-flavoured brew, this is the way to go. | ||||

| Ahh, the classic Coopers red-label Sparkling Ale. Holds a cult status in many aussie circles, and deservedly so. Complex, yet smooth enough to be very enjoyable whilst strong enough to make any drinker think twice before taking on a whole case, for example. The infamous sludge in the bottom even adds a novelty aspect among other things. A fine beer, to sit proudly in any fridge or esky. Max. points for technical quality for mine, and almost max. for appearance. | ||||
