A very crisp and refreshing beer which starts strong on the pallet and disappears leaving a mild after taste. It has a unique flavor to it’s itself but presents as more of a draught style. It is a nice import beer. It also tastes like it has little in the way of chemicals, which is good. It has a nice feel this frothy and I would need more than one to lift its rating |

| Silky smooth, with a slight hint of hops, a beer that goes well with food aswell as on its own. Very sessionable and great packaging. Best South American beer in Australia, beats Corona hands down. | ||||

Simplicity in a beer can often be its most valued asset. Take Quilmes for example, it pours well but isn't that distinguishable from any other beer by looking at it, its aroma whilst sweet and fruity is nothing spectacular - but it is enough to grab your attention. By this stage I was thinking to myself, despite the recommendation this beer might not score that well. Then I had a sip - sweet, smooth and a subtle hint of hops that is very reminicent of some German beers I've tried recently. Some people might discount this beer as being simple, weak and/or not to their liking, but for a refreshing easy to drink beer Quilmess would be a great choice and I believe its the lack of complexity in its flavours that gives Quilmess its unique and smooth flavours. Quilmess was provided to Beer Guide by Red Island Imports (Australian Importer and Distributor) and is the authentic product as created in Argentina, not a localised copy/brewed version.
