| This sparkling ale is only available on tap at the Milton Alehouse, located next door to the Castlemaine Perkins brewery in Brisbane. It is dark amber in colour with a reasonable amount of foaminess in the head. There is a malty aroma that escapes the Beer which is too faint in my opinion and I couldn't smell anything beyond the malt. There was excellent carbonation in the beer (which you'd hope from a tap beer) with a strong flavour. The flavour itself is malty with a great amount of bitterness presented by the hops, whilst not being overly hoppy. It reminded my of Coopers Vintage Ale the flavour is that full. This is a superb beer, but I docked a point of its Technical score as it is most definately not a Sparkling Ale. | ||||
