A German black lager which has complex chocolate and coffee flavours. It contains a variety of malts and hops, making for an enjoyable beer. Being a lager, it is crisp, clean, and less filling than an ale. A fantastic style of beer rarely on offer in Australia. If you have never had a dark beer, try this one, for you'll be surprised!
Available on Tap at the Brewhouse.

| Served in a proper pilsener glass, it poured near black with a consistent one centimeter deep, slightly off-white head. The aroma was light, with a slight chocolate coffee scent detected. Its taste was indeed complex, which left me wondering what it was exactly I was tasting. A few more sips allowed me to grab on to its hop bitterness, and it went down easily. A good beer, seemingly light, but that was somewhat expected being its a lager. The deep blackness put my mind toward expecting a bit fuller. A good drop this, & I'll be having more! | ||||
