I certainly agree on the lingering bitterness after quite a sweet initial taste, similar to sucking on an old fashioned hard lolly. A nice hit from those hops as well. Not much head, which doesn't bother me with a Pils. In all a worthy beer, but inferior to the Czech offerings in my opinion! |

A bizzare and strange aroma, yet sweet and very aromatic. The smell itself reminded me of a sweet I ate as a kid, but I can not recall what. It was nice, yet unusual. A very typical gold colour which was clean and crisp looking, but nothing out of the ordinary. Although the head produced was thin, and lacked any real substance. A malty sweet candy flavour lingered and there was a little bitterness to the aftertaste. This most definately would be an acquired taste due to its uniqueness, but is still worthy of trying. |
