Common Beer Terms
Diacetyl:
A natural byproduct of yeast which can taste like butter or butterscotch. Depending on the style of beer some brewers aim to have small amounts of detectable Diacetyl, whilst others frown upon it and take steps to avoid it as much as possible.

| Average at best. After all the hype (in the Hunter region, NSW anyway) this is quite disappointing – for both the on tap and bottled versions of this beer. A fairly bland aroma to start, followed by a similarly bland taste and experience right throughout, for mine. A few aspects with bite and flavour, but honestly this beer only really brings terms like “weak”, “plain” & “simple” to mind. Another stubby produced in the wussy 330mL size (point off for that alone). The bottle & labelling is OK, featuring a bluetongue lizard on it which is cool. Overpriced and over-rated. Only if very cheap or free. | ||||
