The aroma of this Witbier is quite fruity and sweet. I can detect what reminds me of citrus and possible banana with a little hint at the alcohol content (which is quite low compared to the rest of the La Trappe offerings). The citrus is reasonbly true to style, but the banana reminded me a little of a Hefe instead of a Wit. That said the aroma is very nice and inviting without being overpowering.

It pours pale straw/yellow with plenty of bubbles which create a head with plenty of longevity.

Flavourwise it is a little bit of a let down compared to my expectations, but don't get me wrong it is still a nice beer - I've just tasted nicer Wit's before. The citrus is quite pronounced and is balanced out by the yeast, wheat and spice flavours quite well to produce an easy to drink thin-medium beer ending in a crisp, refreshing but slightly tart aftertaste.

Overall for the price I still think its a good buy and well worth trying, but certainly not a session drink!
